I am a fan of the Catalyst orginization, and have been for a while. They are committed to growing leaders and getting the church world involved in modern culture to make an impact. You can find out about them at www.catalystspace.com.
Lately, they have partnered with a site called Roov - an online community that is committed to raising awareness about cultural issues.
About Roov: ROOV.com is a place that connects like-minded people of faith within their local communities - connecting people online to get them together off line. Catalyst is partnering with ROOV to create monthly featured gatherings that unite people for social causes. This month, Catalyst leaders across the nation are gathering together to engage and discuss the issue of human trafficking. Join Catalyst and ROOV.com, in monthly initiatives to take action together.
While browsing the comments, I came across this blog that is worth checking out:
http://traffickingsucks.com/
It gives some resources on human trafficking and what it is all about.
As a student pastor, I have committed to make sure that my students are culturally aware. We have a responsibility as the body of Christ to respond to the broken and hurting in the world. I believe it is of utmost importance for student pastors to grow students that have the heart of the Father beating inside of them for the broken, poor, hurting and weak. Check out these sites and explore others!
